The partnership between LogiTower as a supplier of systems that automate the processes of storage, transport of sheet metal and long goods, and Yamazaki Mazak – a world-class supplier of CNC machines, laser cutting machines and sheet metal processing automation systems – opens up new opportunities for both companies and their customers operating in the metalworking sector.
The aim of the joint project is to offer modern, automated solutions in production, logistics processes and their automation and robotization in accordance with the principle of industry 4.0. The cooperation allows offering a short implementation time for comprehensive and full automation and robotization in the field of steel processing, especially for sheet metal. Thanks to the local manufacturer, which LogiTower is, the solutions can be tailored to the specific requirements of each customer.
From the very beginning, the LogiTower/ISL team has focused on business partnership, pioneering projects and professionalism. A key element of ISL’s success is its qualified and experienced team of experts, as well as its knowledge and passion.
On the other hand, our partner Yamazaki Mazak is one of the world leaders in the production of CNC machines, laser cutting machines and metalworking automation systems. It has technology and technical centers in over 70 countries around the world, including Poland, in Poznan and Katowice.
It was in Katowice, at the modern Yamazaki Mazak Technology Center, that the first joint project was presented during the Mazak Open House 2023 Days – an integrated automation system dedicated to sheet metal processing. Customers of both Partners (Yamazaki Mazak and LogiTower/ISL) had the opportunity to check how the integrated systems work together live and ask questions to experts.
Integrated automation system for sheet metal processing
The presented solution is an integrated system, dedicated to the automation of the sheet metal cutting process, which includes: LogiTower automatic sheet metal storage system (a single-tower storage for 3 x 1.5 m sheets, 2 shelves for cut elements), a robotic system for transferring sheet metal and cut elements – LogiTowerLoader (two independently working modules with suction cups and rake systems for the Yamazaki Mazak laser cutting machine (OPTI PLEX).
The system enables an automatic flow of material from the moment the system is fed with raw material (sheet metal), through storage and buffering, transport of sheet metal to the laser cutting table, sheet metal cutting, unloading of cut elements from the cutting table, return of cut elements to the storage and release of cut elements for sorting or further processing.

Full automation of the process of storage, transport and sheet metal processing and integration with the laser cutting machine optimize the speed of the system and eliminate machine downtime, thanks to which the maximum use of the potential of the laser cutting machine is ensured. The benefits of system integration are enormous: a significant improvement in the quality and speed of system operation, the ability to work 24/7 with minimal operator supervision, and increased comfort and safety of work. In addition, at a time when the prices of production and warehouse space are rising, we enable optimal use of the available space.
Automation of production and warehouse processes eliminates free spaces and allows for an increase in storage space, which directly translates into the profitability of processes taking place in the company. The cooperation of the Partners led to a comprehensive implementation of an integrated automation system, tailored to the specifics of the Client’s production process.
